Dare to be Digital 2010. Video Game Competition Information!
Dare to be Digital is the UK's premier video games development competition and the only route to win the BAFTA Ones To Watch Award. Students from Abertay University and Wolverhampton University are winners of this prestigious award. The competition is a proven ground to nurture talent. Many of the contestants have been hired from high profile video games companies on completion of the competition. It is also an excellent opportunity to bring the science and arts students together to broaden their experience by working in a cross-discipline environment.
There were 14 teams, 75 students taking part in Dare 2009. They came from 13 universities from Canada, China, England, India, Irish Republic, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Wales. The 5 members in a team do not need to come from the same university.
We hope to encourage students to get a team and prototype together to apply - applications are accepted from February next year. Dare 2010 will be held in the summer from June to August 2010.
