PhD Positions in Computing — International Prize Studentships

The Robert Gordon University (RGU) has PhD positions available as part of its involvement with the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA) in the following areas:

• Cognitive engineering: imaging, graphics, visualisation, cognitive modelling and user interaction


• Computational intelligence: evolutionary algorithms and probabilistic modelling.


• Knowledge based systems: case-based reasoning, constraint programming, knowledge discovery from text and decision support systems.


• Video communications: video compression and transport, multimedia networking.


• Information Retrieval

Requirements

Candidates must have first class honours degree or an MSc with distinction in computer Science or a related discipline.

Funding

The PhD position is funded for 3 years and covers both tuition fees and living expenses.
