Session 1: Rich Application Development using Silverlight and WPF |
In this session we will look at rich application development for the web and desktop using Silverlight and WPF respectively. The technology’s key features will be highlighted through a series of real world demos and code examples to help you get started with this exciting technology. |
Session 2: XNA |
XNA is Microsoft’s .NET games development technology for Windows, Xbox 360 and the Zune. In this session we will use a series of interactive demos to introduce the technology and help you get started building your first game. |
Session 3: Imagine Cup Workshop |
This session will be set in the lab environment and will give you the opportunity to get advice on entering the Imagine Cup, pose any questions you may have, form teams and compete in round one of the competition. |
This is a great opportunity to learn about some brand new technology which is being used in industry and you are likely to be exposed to when you complete your studies. It’s also a chance to learn about some of the programmes that Microsoft offers to students which can help you get hold of their software for free and enhance your CV.
The event is open to all so there’s no need to register, just turn up for the sessions you’re interested in.
