I am a Research Professor in the School of Computing at Robert Gordon University, and Director of the Computational Systems Joint Research Initiative, which is part of the Northern Research Partnership (NRP). I also lead the Interactive Systems Research Group at Robert Gordon University.

My research interests are transdisciplinary and within the framework of Cognition and Computation. My current research focuses on Virtual Reality in Healthcare, and Cognitive Modelling. Further details can be found on the Research Pages.

I publish in a wide range of journals and have received funding from diverse sources, including EPSRC, BBSRC, Scottish Executive, New Opportunities Fund (National Lottery) and various industral organisations such as BAE SYSTEMS (Edinburgh) and Lockheed-Martin (Atlanta, USA).
