Siddhartha K. Shakya
I have moved to BT research, Ipswich. My new email is .
I am a researcher at the Intelligent Systems Research Centre, British Telecom, Adastral park, Ipswich.
Prior to joining BT, I was a research assistant in the School of Computing at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.
I am an active member of the Computational
Intelligence Group at the Robert Gordon University. I am interested in theoretical and practical aspects of
optimisation algorithms, particularly evolutionary computation and estimation of distribution algorithms.
My other research interest includes search heuristics, probabilistic graphical models, graph-drawing algorithms,
bioinformatics and machine learning. I obtained my PhD (2006) from the Robert Gordon University,
where I conducted research on DEUM algorithm , which is a Markov network based EDA.
I also hold a MSc (2002) in Intelligent Systems from the University of Sussex, Brighton, and a ME (1999) and BE (1998) in Computer
Engineering from the Vladimir State University, Russia.
