I thought that some of you might be interested in our forthcoming event that we are holding at Garthdee on Tuesday 28th August, with our partners ScotlandIS and the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation.

This free event is focussing on advanced technologies and software tools that are enabling increasingly intelligent capture, mining, modelling and management of large data sets and providing the potential for tackling some of the significant challenges created by the Low Carbon economy.

Guest speakers will include Stewart Reid, Head of Future Networks & Policy at Scottish & Southern Energy, David McLean, Head of Predictive Analytics at Logica UK, David Socha, Utilities Practice Leader, EMEA : Teradata and our own Prof John McCall, Professor of Computing Science at Robert Gordon University.

Break out sessions will allow peers to debate and explore opportunities in Data Capture, Data Storage and Security and Data Modeling and Analytics.
