Atlas, the Global Learning Technologies Provider, has presented Multimedia student Vivien Logan with the Atlas Prize – a sponsored award from the School of Computing Science and Digital Media at Robert Gordon University (RGU). Vivien was awarded the prize for being the highest academic achiever in the BSc (Hons) Multimedia Development degree.
The Atlas Prize was one of many awards handed out to students at a ceremony held at RGU’s new Riverside East building on Friday, July 4. As part of her prize, Vivien will join Atlas over the summer months, providing her with an opportunity to develop her skills under the guidance of Atlas experts.
Atlas’s Research & Development Manager, Ken Jones, was on-hand to present Vivien with her award: “Huge congratulations to Vivien for winning the Atlas Prize here today. Having seen her success academically, we’re excited to have her join the Atlas team. It’s been a pleasure to be here today to celebrate the success of all of the students in the Computing School”.
Head of the RGU School of Computing Science and Digital Media, Professor Ian Allison, said: “To have big industry partners such as Atlas sponsoring these awards is fantastic. To recognise the work of the students, who come up with their creative ideas themselves, is extremely important for the school. “Nearly 60 prizes have been issued to our students from all of our courses and are an acknowledgement of the capability, hard work and commitment all of the students have shown during the last year. Congratulations to Vivien for finishing top of her year.”
